Strengthen our immunity system
In this time of health crisis, it is important to have a good immune system to stay in shape and not to be susceptible to catch the virus, although the stressful and anxiety-provoking conditions in us nowadays decrease our immunity, because yes the stress generated weakens our immunity, this is why it is important to reduce it as much as possible
Strengthening immunity starts with food, which is our main source of medication, "we are what we eat". A diet too rich in meat products, salt, refined sugars, exposing us to many risks which are already known very well. During this period (but not only) it is important to favor whole grains, legumes, seasonal fruits and vegetables (local and organic if possible), cold-extracted virgin oils, etc. It is important to reduce your gluten consumption which is very inflammatory as well as dairy products of animal origin to avoid an accumulation of mucus which participates in the decline of your immunity. To boost your immune system you can also test intermittent fasting, which participates in the renewal of your cells, which is also a very energizing process and which leaves your digestive system at rest (to perform over a period of 12 hours minimum). Also favors superfoods such as powdered matcha, chia seeds, spirulina, goji berries, etc.
Apart from a good diet, your body also needs to regenerate well with an adequate sleep intake (7h to 9h), to manage stress well because, as said before, it greatly increases immunity. Moreover, several tools are in our possession to remedy this, such as breathing exercises that will soothe your nervous system, the tumult of your mind, and lower your cortisol (the stress hormone) level. Pranayama and cardiac coherence techniques are therefore very useful. As the practice of yoga, whether it is dynamic or gentle yoga, practicing physical activity (minimum 30 min per day) can only be beneficial for the mind as well as the body and it helps you to boost your immunity by strengthening your muscles and thus your cardiovascular resistance
