Happy 50th birthday to me!
I have dreaded getting old. A child of the 70’s caught between “a woman’s place is at home” and the “you should have a career” mantra of the day. Both, sadly had a time limit.
A woman at home with children wasn’t as desirable as a single woman. She was thought of as done, used up, bitter, plain, fixed & so much more. That went for an UNMARRIED woman who was over 30, too.
While I grew up in the midst of that transition in society, the messaging from the media was the same as most of it, today. Youth is beautiful, age lacks value. Beating back the head trash isn’t easy, it is thrown at us all the time.
I’m here to say, Trina at 50 dances circles around Trina at 25. I’m wiser. That means so much. I see the world differently now, I see TIME differently. My BS detector is on tilt 90% of the time.
I have more to TEACH, not just talk about. (The episiotomy is not the most traumatic thing that has happened to date in my life🤦🏻♀️. If you want to talk colonoscopy, and blood transfusions well now we’re cooking w/🔥! 😘
All that to say, no filter is needed on life. We all learn so we can share, pass on our knowledge and make a difference in small ways. Sometimes mine may be about playing with makeup, or a product and how it works. The “shallow” things, it is my escape and a happy place for me. As my IG and YT grow, I hope you consider following and subscribing. You might learn something, you might laugh with or at me, that’s ok so long as you laugh or learn.
My YouTube will launch with my first vid today. OMG is editing a lot to learn. It will get better, it’s a process, my wisdom tell me that! Oh, I almost forgot, @essentialflowfitness

Now, you’ve had a slice of my mind.
Make it a great day! Wise words of the day: Tell the people you love, I love you, often. Hug the ones you haven’t. And....
Don’t pick your nose,
don’t touch your face and
WASH YOUR HANDS!
