The problem with pseudo-activists is that they don't actually change anything in real life.
Everybody's coping mechanism & threshold for pain is different based on their own life experiences & circumstances which is also different for everyone.
People begin to heal when they feel heard and not dismissed, berated or have their struggles minimized.
Why else would kids help telephone lines, crisis helplines or suicide helplines exist?
People are currently still being chastised and bullied for talking openly about their traumas, abuse, mental health etc. .
The social media band wagon #1
: Post some variation of this: It's important to talk about mental health and suicide prevention. I care and I'm here to help. You're not alone. [Because people are so kind when they're online.]/s
The social media bandwagon #2
: Post some variation of this: Stop complaining and work on improving yourself. You attract what you are. Change your thoughts and you change your life. Be careful who you help, you could be interrupting their karma. (This is some dark level shit) [Because it's that simple and everybody is always cooperative in respecting other people's boundaries and life choices. Nobody ever violates anyone.]/s .
All of those prior statements are subtle jabs at a person's self-esteem. It may look positive on the surface but has an insidious undertone implying that something is wrong with the individual who's having a hard time.
Covert attacks are the most dangerous because it's not obvious.
The social media bandwagon #3
: Post some variation of this: Be positive. Be thankful. Be graceful. Be quiet. Be still. Be calm.
[Because brain chemical imbalance issues should be swept under the rug.]/s
And we wonder why people kill themselves.
Empathy & compassion is so so so fucking rare in this 3D world. Many people judge without knowing. ― Quan Nita Mỹa
