So it’s been a while since I last posted. In November I have suffered a knee injury, which was not lifting related. I haven’t been lifting for 2 months now. I’ve gained some extra pounds and I have lost a lot of size and strength in my left leg. I can’t go back to powerlifting for another 4 months. Just recently I have returned to the gym and working solely on the upper body. Gotta say it feels great to be back! It is hard facing this kind of adversity. But after reflecting on this for quite some time. I can only say this; It’s only natural that such problems and difficulties strike us when we least expect it. We all face them at some point or the other. There is no point of getting stuck on how or why these difficulties happen. What matters is what comes next, do you give up? Or do you pick yourself back up and get back to work? I have chosen the later. I have retained my motivation and dedication and will strive to better myself. Suffering an injury is difficult, but one thing it does for you is appreciate the other parts of your body even more. It also allows you to be more creative with your workout routine, trying many different exercises that previously you overlooked. Soon with enough time and effort everything will be back to normal. Stay motivated fam, its 2020, let this new year propel you forward and don’t let any difficulties you may encounter along the way hold you down, with the right mindset you can conquer anything. As for me 2020 will be one hell of a year.
