The AIM team will still be providing you with the help and support you need to be effective students. As from now, all of Tom and Steve’s AIM sessions will run online according to the same schedule that has been up on Learning Space for several months.
This means that if you have booked yourself on to a session, you are still booked on for that session, and it will run on the same day and time. - How are we delivering these sessions?: Via Microsoft Teams. - How does this work?: The day before, we send you an e-mail inviting you to the session. This can save the event in to your Outlook calendar, and when the time for the session arrives you just click the link either in the e-mail or your Calendar. - Do I need any special equipment?: It would be useful, but not totally necessary, for you have a webcam attached to your computer, and if you have a fairly new laptop, the chances are it already has one built in. You could also use your tablet or phone, but bear in mind, the smaller the screen, the more difficult it will be for you to see what’s going on, so in this case, the bigger the better! - Do I need to install any special software?: For the best experience install the Microsoft Teams app, but you've probably already done that to stay in touch with your lecturers. If you haven’t, you can find it at either the Google Play store or the Apple App Store. - Do I still need to book on to a session using Learning Space?: Yes, otherwise we won’t know who to send an invite to! - Will I still get a stamp on my AIM loyalty card?: Yes! We’ll make a note of the student number of all the attendees so that you can collect stamps for your card(s) at a later date.
