This week makes it exactly 11 years since I had my first Sax lesson at @WoldinghamSch
It was Love at First Blow 🎷
I used to walk 10 minutes in the snow/rain carrying my beloved instrument just so I could practise in the music cells without disturbing anyone.
I practised A LOT!
I was playing in the Jazz Band with students who started learning when they were 5 so there was a lot to catch up on.
I progressed really quickly because I put in the work, repeating the boring exercises and the fun ones too, learning jazz standards, crushing music exams.
I was so curious, so meticulous, so fascinated by this instrument.
I still am to be honest, there have just been certain seasons where it's had to take a back seat, because other things were a priority, like childbirth and graduating.
Really excited to share my love for music with the world. I'm such a versatile musician, who moves seamlessly from gospel to jazz to classical to highlife. Can't wait to take you on a Musical Adventure, make sure you follow @tukemorgansband
