🧠 Your mindset is everything.
Today I coached someone who came in with her guard up, nervous, and scared. The first thing she said to me was "I need to take it easy, I haven't worked out in years."
Here's what I said to her: “I understand. I'll walk you through everything, just follow my lead and go at your own pace. I got you."
At the end of the workout, she was dripping in sweat and smiling. She seemed so surprised that she was able to keep up, that she was able to do advanced core exercises on the ab dolly, that she actually got through it. And she was noticeable proud of herself. She said, "I can't believe I did that!"
🙌🏽 I knew she could. She just needed to believe in herself first.
Once you believe you can do something in your mind, your body will oblige. Oftentimes we place these limiting beliefs onto ourselves and stunt our own progress.
If you think it's too hard, it will be. If you think you can't, you won't. But if you trust yourself, if you tell yourself: “I can do hard things, let me just try...” you'll be absolutely amazed at what your body can do for you. You’re so much stronger than you think. 💪🏽
